New York State Concealed Carry Pistol Permit Class
for those who submit their permit application
AFTER Sept 1, 2022
and want a Concealed Carry Pistol Permit
You must complete NRA Basic Pistol Class AND "
Day 2: NY State Concealed Carry Pistol Permit Class" to complete the mandated 18 hours of training.

In NY State currently, to submit an pistol permit application for a Concealed Carry Permit, you must complete 16 hours of training with 2 hours of live-fire range time (18hr total).  This will be done over TWO classes.  You MUST successfully complete BOTH training classes to obtain a certificate of training completion for your concealed carry pistol permit application.

Day ONE will be the NRA Basic Pistol Course ($160) You enroll in that class and you will have use of our pistols and ammunition.  Day TWO is called Day 2: NY State Concealed Carry Training ($160) You can do these classes in any order you choose.  Once both days of training are completed, you will be given the certification forms you need for your permit application.

Note: No training is required at this time for a Premise-Only Pistol Permit.

New York State Concealed Carry Pistol Permit Training
for those who submitted their permit application
PRIOR TO Sept 1, 2022
and want a Concealed Carry Pistol Permit

For those who submitted their pistol permits prior to Sept 1, 2022.  and are being told by the court you must attend a Safety Class,  please enroll in the NRA Basic Pistol Course ($160).  This is an excellent course to start your training on a solid foundation and is required before enrollment in any advanced courses.  Your Certificate exceeds the training requirement and you will earn a Nationally recognized training program that will allow you to apply for out of state permits that require live-fire training. You do not need to take Day 2 training unless your judge indicates they want you to complete the entire 16 hours of training.

Please understand that rules/applications change often and it is your responsibility to understand and follow the requirements of your county.
